ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today (Thursday).
According to details, matters related to government’s measures to control the outbreak of novel coronavirus were discussed in detail.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Imran has reaffirmed government’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to protect citizens from the deadly disease.
PM Imran further said the federal government was in close contact with several economic international organizations to protect national economy from adverse impacts of coronavirus.
Both the personalities also agreed to establish a parliamentary committee on the current situation of the country with representation from both opposition and government to contain the COVID-19.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also advised the people of Pakistan not to be panic and adopt all precautionary measures to fight coronavirus.
Coronavirus has claimed lives of 2 people in Pakistan and has spread in almost all provinces of the country. The national tally has surged past 400.
