LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique released from jail, soon after being granted bail from Supreme Court.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Supreme Court had approved bail of both PML-N leaders in Paragon Housing scam filed by National Accountability Bureau.
After releasing from jail, Saad Rafique spoke to journalists and said that the NAB and Pakistan cannot function together, adding that NAB’s law was based on dishonesty.
Saad Rafique further said that PML-N was a party that is inclined towards moderation and it has also proven it adding that the party will not change its stance and people of Pakistan are with them.
While giving advice to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Saad Rafique said that PM Imran should ‘learn to tolerate’ his opponents.
Saad Rafique also said that the government’s behavior will hamper Pakistan’s progress adding that in PML-N tenure there were no political prisoners.
Earlier in December 2018, NAB arrested Saad Rafique and his brother after the Lahore High Court rejected their request for an extension in their pre-arrest bail in a case pertaining to the housing society scam.
