PM’s Special Assistant on Information, Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that important decisions would be taken during special meeting of National Security Committee (NSC) over coronavirus today (Friday).
Firdous Awan took to Twitter and said that protection and well-being of people of Pakistan was our primary responsibility.
پاکستان کے عوام کا تحفظ اور سلامتی ہماری اولین ذمہ داری ہے۔آج وزیر اعظم عمران خان کی قیادت میں قومی سلامتی کمیٹی کا اہم اجلاس منعقد ہو رہا ہے۔صوبائی وزراعلیٰ سمیت اعلیٰ سول اور عسکری قیادت اجلاس میں شریک ہوگی۔

She further said that special meeting will be held under Prime Minister Imran Khan in which provincial chief ministers and civil and military leadership will also attend.
In another Tweet, Firdous Awan said that the main purpose of the meeting was to unite the people of Pakistan on the issue of coronavirus.
اجلاس کا مقصد کرونا وائرس جیسے اہم مسئلے پر پوری قوم کو یکجا کرنا اور وائرس پر قابو پانے کی قومی کاوشوں میں یکسوئی اور ہم آہنگی کا فروغ ہے۔عوام کے تحفظ کے پیش نظر اہم فیصلے کیے جائیں گے۔کرونا وائرس کے بین الاقوامی چیلنج کے اثرات سےقوم کو محفوظ بنانے کے حوالے سے ترجیحات طے ہوں گی

“The impact of international challenge of the coronavirus will set priorities for safeguarding the community,” she added.
So far, 21 cases have been reported in Pakistan. 15 cases have been confirmed in Sindh, one in Balochistan, five in Gilgit Baltistan.
