KARACHI: The incoming Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah here on Monday.
During the meeting. the chief minister said the police force has a key role in the maintenance of law and order in Sindh province. The chief minister further said he want a police department that creates a sense of relief and protection and not a cause of concern.
CM Sindh said that foolproof security arrangements should be madeto provide a peaceful atmosphere for citizens as well as maintaining law and order in the province.
Newly-appointed IGP Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar assured the chief minister for further improvement of the law and order in the province. The federal government appointed the new police chief to fulfill the demand of the Sindh government.

Earlier on Feb 1, Murad Ali Shah had written his third letter to the federal government for removal of IGP Kaleem Imam and pick one of the five names proposed by the Sindh government for the top police post in Sindh.
