Sindh govt taking steps to address common man issues: Nasir Shah

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah while speaking at an open court in district East of Karachi said that the Sindh government was making every effort to redress the grievances of the people of the province.
The minister said that the main aim of holding the open courts was to gain first-hand knowledge of the troubles being faced by the citizen and take action for their instant solutions.
The info minister said that the officers of the various Sindh government departments, including Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Karachi Development Authority, Karachi Water & Sewerage Board, Karachi Municipal Corporation, had been called here in the open court for the prompt redressed of the issues being faced by the citizens.
He said that every official in the provincial government was holding open Kachries in different districts of the Sindh to listen and resolve the troubles being faced by the citizens. He said that the people complained against the pathetic behavior of the concerned officials and officers of various departments.
These complaints had not only been noted, but they were also being addressed swiftly. He said that all the data of the open courts were being sent and monitored by the chairman’s office.
He said that it was a positive sign that ‘we all are together here to address the issues of our people’. Shah said that the ministers of PPP were addressing the problems of the people even in those areas where they were not voted.
The info minister told the people that the Sindh government in collaboration with the World Bank had planned to initiate projects worth billions of rupees of water and sewerage for all parts of the province.
Similarly, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had also issued directives for the expansion and development of road infrastructure, he added.
He said that the Sindh government would also welcome and cooperate with the federal government in any of its endeavors towards the betterment of the people of Sindh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindh Minister for Revenue and Relief Makhdoom Mehboob Zaman said that severe action had been initiated against all those who were involved in illegal possession of state land.
The minister said that no matter whosoever was involved in those illegal possessions would be brought to justice. He said that twenty-one officers of the Revenue Department were facing punitive action for misusing their offices.
Sindh Minister for Revenue and Relief, opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly and members of JUI and MQM-Pakistan also presented on the occasion.
