NASEERABAD: In wake of coronavirus situation in the country, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Qambar-Shahdadkot Javed Ali Jagirani presided over an urgent meeting at his office and he ordered health authorities to establish coronavirus isolation wards at Qambar-Shahdadkot hospitals.
During the meeting, Javed Ali Jagirani instructed health officials to ensure protective steps to battle the coronavirus outbreak. He said two coronavirus cases have reported in the Pakistan one in Sindh, adding that precautionary measures should be taken to save the people from this epidemic.
Jagirani informed that an isolated ward had been set up at the district headquarter hospital to provide treatment to any possible coronavirus patients.
He said when the pilgrims return from Iran or any other country, they should be kept at an isolated safe place. He also urged the people to take special protective steps against coronavirus, and contact at the Emergency No. 0744210629 or Cell established at his office that will work 24 hours.
The Deputy Commissioner further ordered the District Health Officer and MS of the District Headquarter Hospital to prepare a list of medicines and other required material for the prevention and treatment of the coronavirus so that any emergency could be met timely.
On this occasion, DHO Dr. Syed Abdul Rahman Shah said that they had initiated the effort to put off the spread of the coronavirus outbreak in the district, adding that while a public awareness drive about the disease is also being initiated.
