LARKANA: Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho has claimed that HIV positive cases have now declined in Ratodero which means they have controlled the outbreak of the viral disease.
She said this while talking to media persons after inaugurating the Labour Room at Shaikh Zayed Hospital for Women of Chandka Medical College Hospital.
Pechuho said the WHO program was introduced by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in the country which was still running. She said that ‘the program is underway which will analyze any kind of infection or disease so that it could be treated properly’.
She directed the health officials to overcome the shortage of medicines and doctors must also discharge their government duties properly.
The health minister was briefed about the functioning of only the hospital in which doctors and lady doctors also presented issues confronted by them.
The postgraduate student doctors held a protest demonstration on the occasion for payment of outstanding ten-month salaries. She directed the relevant authorities to resolve their issue.
Commissioner Muhammad Saleem Raza Khuhro and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.
