ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said the youth is the biggest asset of Pakistan, and should be encouraged to pursue their ideas independently without any fear of failure.
Addressing a ceremony of National Incubation Center Startups in Islamabad, the prime minister said youth are the most precious asset of Pakistan and they will be provided full opportunities to harness their potential for national development.
The prime minister urged youth to follow an independent approach with a free thinking mind to work on new ideas. “A startup is when people embark fearlessly on their ideas,” he said, adding that success is possible when people pursue their dreams.
PM Imran Khan said startup is the translation into reality of an idea, and the encouragement of startup culture among youth is the vision of Naya Pakistan.
The prime minister said success stories in the world can be traced back to brilliant ideas of a few dedicated individuals. He said a successful person pursues the idea with full struggle without caring for the consequences.
He said that the mark of a vibrant society is that they encourage and support their young people. He advised budding entrepreneurs that every huge achievement is preceded by a great idea, adding that a person only becomes successful after going through difficulties.
The premier further advised them not to take failures to heart and not lose hope while pursuing their dreams. “When you critically analyse your mistakes and then retry, it only makes you stronger,” he said.
He said that when he entered politics over two decades ago, he knew that Pakistan’s young population had immense potential. He urged youth to pursue their ideas and utilise their potentials by thinking independently.
PM Imran Khan spoke about ‘The American Dream’ and the land of opportunities and stated that societies where business, entrepreneurship and startups were not encouraged did not progress.
The prime minister was given a detailed briefing on various startup ideas on the occasion. He showed keen interest in new ideas and interacted with the participants.
