LAHORE: A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court that sought cancellation of bail of lawyer Hassaan Niazi, nephew of Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attack case.
In the petition, the petitioner pleaded the court that Hassaan Niazi along with over 100 colleagues attacked the hospital in Lahore and subjected people to torture.
The plead added that the anti-terrorism court while ignoring facts of the incident approved bails of the accused.
Niazi was granted interim bail by the ATC on 20th December 2019 in the PIC attack case and was ordered to submit a surety bond of Rs100,000.
Niazi was booked in the PIC attack that occurred in December 2019. The police conducted raids at his residence twice but no one was found.

A violent clash erupted between hundreds of lawyers and doctors on 14th December that left 4 patients dead and 25 injured in the PIC hospital of Lahore. At least 52 lawyers were arrested after the attack.
Niazi in his claim stated that his support was limited to the initiation of legal action against the doctors but videos that went viral on social media showed him actively participating in the protest.
