The FIA Corporate Crime Circle Karachi has uncovered an illegal drug manufacturing factory during a raid, recovering raw materials, finished medicines, and machinery.
According to reports, the FIA carried out the operation in the Malir area on a tip-off, exposing a fake pharmaceutical unit involved in the illegal production of medicines.
During the raid, the suspect, Faisal Shahid, was arrested on the spot. He was identified as the owner and operator of the factory.
A large quantity of raw materials, ready-made medicines, and equipment was seized.
The recovered items were taken into custody in accordance with legal procedures and later handed over to DRAP authorities.
Officials have launched a search for other individuals involved in the illegal manufacture of counterfeit medicines.
