Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Sunday issued strict deadlines for the completion of several major infrastructure projects in Karachi, directing officials to speed up work on Shahrah-e-Bhutto and all mixed-traffic lanes along the Red Line corridor.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s House, Shah visited multiple development sites early in the morning to review progress.
He instructed departments to ensure rapid execution with no compromise on quality, warning that delays would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He set a clear deadline for the Red Line corridor’s mixed-traffic lanes, ordering their completion within two months. He also announced that the Bhutto Expressway would be opened to traffic before Eid, calling it a “gift” for Karachi residents and stressing that timelines must be strictly followed.
During the briefing, officials including Secretary Transport Asad Zamin and TransKarachi CEO Zubair Channa informed the chief minister that repair, patchwork, and rehabilitation work on the Red Line were underway, along with widening activities.

Shah further directed that work on the Mosamiyat Flyover be resumed immediately, and the Azeempura Flyover be completed within 90 days, emphasizing its importance for improving traffic flow towards Jinnah Terminal.
On Shahrah-e-Bhutto, officials reported 93% completion of the 38-kilometre stretch, with remaining work expected within weeks.
