Bangladesh has announced a 15-member squad for the first Test against Pakistan in Dhaka, starting May 8, 2026, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto.
The squad includes two uncapped players, Tanzid Hasan and Amite Hasan, both of whom have earned call-ups based on strong domestic performances.
Tanzid Hasan has already featured extensively in white-ball cricket, playing 34 ODIs and 45 T20Is while scoring over 1,900 runs across formats. He will now aim to cement his place in the Test setup.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old middle-order batter Amite Hasan, who averages 49 in first-class cricket since his 2019 debut, adds depth to the batting lineup.
Pace bowlers Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam return to the Test side after last playing in late 2024, while spinner Naeem Hasan also makes a comeback.
