On the eve of Eid celebrations, known as Chand Raat, festivities in Karachi were marred by multiple incidents of aerial firing across the city.
9 people were injured in firing incidents reported in various areas. The incidents took place in different parts of the city, including Landhi, Qasba Colony, Janjal Goth, North Nazimabad, Machar Colony, and Nusrat Bhutto Colony.
According to rescue sources, 9 people were injured in the firing incidents, and the injured were shifted to hospitals for medical treatment.
Aerial firing is the practice of shooting guns into the air, often as a way to celebrate special occasions such as weddings, sports victories, and religious festivities.
On the eve of celebrations like Chand Raat, when people gather in large numbers for shopping, socializing, and marking the end of Ramadan, this practice tends to increase in some areas.
