At least eight people have been killed and more than 20 wounded outside the U.S. Consulate in Karachi following alleged gunfire by U.S. Marines stationed at the diplomatic mission in the southern port city.
According to journalist Nadir Baloch, U.S. soldiers stationed at the consulate opened fire on Pakistani protesters. Reports indicate that more than eight people were killed and over 30 injured. It is also claimed that the bodies of the victims were confiscated by the U.S. base administration.
Meanwhile, @DD_Geopolitics on X said that U.S. Marines fired on the crowd before any breach of the perimeter, prompting the subsequent storming of the facility.

Moreover, social worker Faisal Edhi confirmed that at least seven people were killed outside the U.S. mission.

Earlier, a large and increasingly tense demonstration unfolded outside the United States Consulate in Karachi on Sunday after news spread that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had been killed in a joint U.S.–Israeli military strike on Iranian territory.

Hundreds of protesters, many carrying banners and chanting slogans against the United States, amassed near the consulate compound on Mai Kolachi Road.
Demonstrators expressed outrage over the reported targeted strike that reportedly killed Khamenei, who had ruled Iran for nearly four decades and was a central figure in Tehran’s domestic and foreign policy.
Earlier, a large number of people gathered at Numaish Chowrangi. Protesters staged sit-ins at various locations, causing significant disruption to traffic flow.
