International pop icon and American singer Taylor Swift will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF) as part of the Class of 2026.
It was revealed on Wednesday that, at 36 years old, she is the youngest woman ever inducted, breaking a record previously held by Carole Bayer Sager for nearly 40 years.
The full 2026 induction class includes.
Taylor Swift (Performing Songwriter)
Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS (Performing Songwriters)
Alanis Morissette (Performing Songwriter)
Kenny Loggins (Performing Songwriter)
Christopher “Tricky” Stewart (Non-Performing Songwriter)
Walter Afanasieff (Non-Performing Songwriter)
Terry Britten and Graham Lyle (Non-Performing Songwriters)
Historic Milestone
Swift’s induction occurs in her first year of eligibility, which requires a minimum of 20 years since an artist’s first commercial release (her debut single “Tim McGraw” was released in June 2006).
She is also the first person to graduate from the Hall’s Hal David Starlight Award (which she won in 2010) to full membership.
The official induction ceremony is scheduled for June 11, 2026, in New York City.
