The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen has officially released the revised schedule for the 2026 Matriculation and Intermediate annual examinations across all nine education boards in the province.
In a significant adjustment to accommodate students during the month of Ramadan, the Matric (Grade 10) examinations will now commence on March 27, 2026, followed by the Grade 9 exams on April 14, 2026.

For higher secondary students, the Intermediate (Grade 12) examinations are set to begin on May 20, 2026, with results scheduled for release on September 23, 2026, while the Grade 11 results will follow on October 22, 2026.
This year also marks the return of the Class 8 board examinations starting March 5 after a four-year break. Furthermore, a major policy shift takes effect this session, as exam papers will now consist of up to 70% multiple-choice questions to better prepare students for professional entrance tests.
This uniform schedule applies to all regional boards, and students can access their specific date sheets through official portals like BISE Lahore or BISE Rawalpindi.
