Karachi continues to experience severe cold weather, with temperatures dropping significantly across various parts of the city.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature recorded at Jinnah Terminal last night fell to 6 degrees Celsius. In some areas of Gadap and Bahria Town’s Sports City, temperatures dropped even below 6°C.
The PMD reported that the overall minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 8.1°C. In Gulistan-e-Jauhar and along Shahrah-e-Faisal, the minimum temperature remained at 9°C, while Mauripur recorded 10°C and Bin Qasim 10.5°C.
The Met Office said the weather is expected to remain dry over the next 24 hours, with cold conditions during nighttime.
The minimum temperature is likely to range between 8°C and 10°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach up to 24°C.
According to the PMD, humidity levels in the city stand at 44 percent, with northeasterly winds blowing at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour.
