Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Wednesday, tracking gains in the global market. In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs2,000 to hit a new record high of Rs472,862.
Likewise, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs1,714, settling at Rs405,402, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, on Tuesday, gold per tola had surged by Rs8,500 to close at Rs470,862.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $20, reaching $4,505 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Silver prices also moved higher, rising by Rs500 to Rs7,505 per tola.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
