Gold prices in Pakistan continued to surge mirroring the upward trend in the international market.
In the domestic market, gold prices jumped by Rs2,000 to reach an all-time high of Rs472,862 per tola, while the price per 10 grams rose by Rs1,714 to Rs405,402, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.
Globally, gold increased by $20 to $4,505 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices gained Rs500 to settle at Rs7,705.

Pakistan receives over $3 billion in foreign loans during first five months of FY25
Pakistan has received over $3 billion in foreign loans and grants in the first five months (July-November) of the current fiscal year, indicating a 14% increase compared to last year’s $2.667 billion. Data released by the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) in November shows that Pakistan received foreign assistance worth USD314.5 million, comprising USD164 million in bilateral support and USD150.48 million from multilateral sources. During the July–November period of FY2025-26, total bilateral loans and grants amounted to USD807.64 million, while multilateral financing in the form of loans and grants reached USD1.26 billion.
