Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for Afghanistan’s Taliban government, claimed on Tuesday that Pakistan had conducted overnight strikes in the country.
In a post on social media platform X, Mujahid said Pakistan “bombed” Khost province and carried out airstrikes in Kunar and Paktika provinces.
So far, Pakistan has not issued any official response.
It is worth mentioning that tensions between the South Asian neighbors have risen in recent months, with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) remaining a major point of friction.

Islamabad has repeatedly asked Kabul to rein in TTP and help Pakistan against cross-border terrorism, while the Afghan Taliban deny that militants are using Afghan territory to launch attacks in Pakistan.
Following border clashes in October, officials from both sides held dialogue sessions aimed at establishing mechanisms for lasting peace and stability between the two countries.
