In Balochistan’s Kalat district, four people including a tribal leader were killed in firing by unidentified individuals. According to initial investigation, the incident appears to be a result of target killing.
According to police, the vehicle of tribal leader Shakir Saadullah Lango was targeted in the Sarband area of Khaliqabad tehsil of Kalat.
Police stated that among the deceased are Shakir Khairullah Lango, Muhammad Kareem, and Muhammad Zahir. Levies have cordoned off the area and started investigation.
Earlier on Saturday, an exchange of fire took place between two groups in the Manguchar area of Kalat, resulting in the death of three people.
Police said that some individuals were also injured in the firing, who were immediately shifted to the hospital for medical treatment, while the suspects fled after the incident and are being searched for.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, dozens of people have been killed in numerous incidents of target killing, including religious scholars, political figures, and showbiz personalities.
