Amal Clooney’s recent hair transformation features a dramatic chop of eight inches, revealing a new shoulder-length style dubbed the “bubble blowout.”
The human rights lawyer, known for her long brunette locks, first revealed the look at an event for the Clooney Foundation for Justice on October 6, 2025.

Celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos cut off “between six and eight inches” of Clooney’s hair, taking her signature length from waist-length to several inches below her collarbones. Giannetos called it a “power cut,” reflecting the fresh, shorter style.
The cut is styled into a “bubble blowout,” a polished look with rounded, bouncy volume at the ends. This glamorous and chic style is a departure from her typical flowing waves.

Over the years, Clooney has made subtle but consistent updates to her hairstyle, moving from a darker, more natural look to a brighter, more polished aesthetic.
In addition to the chop, Clooney updated her color. She now has a darker base color with lighter, honey-toned “toasted almond” highlights around her face. This was reportedly inspired by the Princess of Wales and is similar to a recent trend called “caramel-silk brunette”.
