The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has suspended the Air Operator Certificates (AOCs) of Serene Air (Pvt) Limited with immediate effect, citing non-compliance with regulatory fleet requirements.
In an official notification dated October 2, 2025, the PCAA said that Serene Air currently has zero serviceable aircraft, rendering it incapable of maintaining safe and sustainable flight operations.
As per aviation regulations, airlines must maintain a minimum fleet size to retain their license to operate.
The suspension affects certificates No. AOC-031/16-AL and No. AOC-032/17-CH. The airline has been directed to surrender the documents immediately for necessary endorsement.
This move comes amid increasing scrutiny of aviation safety and regulatory compliance in Pakistan. The PCAA’s action reflects its ongoing efforts to enforce operational standards within the country’s aviation sector.
Serene Air has yet to release a statement on the suspension or future operational plans.
