Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has provided 33 electric buses to Sargodha and also announced that those flood victims whose houses collapsed will be given 1 million rupees per person.
According to details, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the electric buses project in Sargodha, the Chief Minister Punjab said that after becoming Chief Minister, I visited Sargodha hospital for the first time. I found out that there is no heart hospital in the whole of Sargodha. That very day I decided to build Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in Sargodha.
During her address at the inauguration ceremony, Maryam Nawaz said that today within one year, work has started on the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology. Next month I will inaugurate it. In the past, development started from big cities and ended in big cities. Now development will start from small cities and spread across Punjab.
During her address, the Chief Minister said that despite being a divisional headquarters, there was no government transport in Sargodha. I have brought the gift of 33 buses for the people of Sargodha. We have allocated 60 buses for Sargodha city and 105 buses for the division. The people of Sargodha gave millions of votes to Nawaz Sharif and made him successful.
The Chief Minister said that even if I spend my whole life, I cannot repay the debt of making Nawaz Sharif successful. Flood water came into Pakistan’s 3 rivers at the same time. We had to face the biggest flood in history. 27 cities and more than 5,000 villages were affected by the flood. If timely arrangements had not been made, more damage could have occurred.
Maryam Nawaz said that during the flood situation, more than 2.5 million people were shifted to safe places. The victims were provided with food, medicine, and fodder for their livestock. We should be proud that we live in that Punjab where even animals are cared for.
“Those people whose houses collapsed are being given 1 million rupees per person, and those whose houses were partially damaged are being given 500,000 rupees. In case of a large animal being swept away, 500,000 rupees are being given, and in case of a small animal, 50,000 rupees. In the next few days, people will start receiving money in the form of cheques.” She added.
