In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district, unknown individuals blew up a gas SMS pipeline with explosives, resulting in heavy damage, as reported by national media on Friday.
According to details, police said that near Karak New Adda in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district, unknown individuals blew up a gas line with explosives last night.
Regarding this, Karak police said that police and other institutions, as well as gas department officials, are present at the scene, while a search operation is also underway. After assessing the damage, repair work on the gas pipeline has started.
A bomb was planted near Indus Highway New Adda late at night. The loud sound of the explosion shook nearby areas. Due to the destruction of the gas pipeline, supply to nearby areas was suspended, according to police.
It is noteworthy that Karak was the only district that had remained safe from the scourge of terrorism for the last 20 years. However, after recent incidents, the situation has changed. District Karak is rich in oil, gas, uranium, gypsum, and coal.
Officials believe that in Karak, compared to other districts of the province, the literacy rate of women as well as men is higher.
