Park View City, recently hit by flooding from the Ravi River, has unveiled a Rs1 billion relief package for affected residents while also commencing the construction of its protective embankment.
The project was inaugurated at a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, underscoring the community’s focus on long-term safety and resilience against future disasters.
Chairman Vision Group Abdul Aleem Khan and CEO Park View City Junaid Amin led the ceremony, which was attended by realtors, residents, and community stakeholders, reflecting broad support for the initiative.
Chairman Abdul Aleem Khan said the relief package would provide direct compensation to affected residents at their doorsteps. He also announced a two-month waiver of development charges in the five impacted blocks to ease financial pressure on families.
The embankment will be a 30-foot-tall protective structure, covering all blocks of the society. Beyond its primary role in flood defense, it will also be beautified and developed into a jogging and walking track, exclusively for Park View City members, blending safety with lifestyle enhancement.
The embankment project comes in response to recent challenges posed by the floods, reaffirming the housing society’s commitment to providing secure, modern, and sustainable living for its residents.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 100 days, ensuring timely relief and long-term protection for residents.
Speaking at the occasion, Chairman Abdul Aleem Khan emphasised:
“This embankment is more than a protective measure — it represents Park View City’s vision of blending innovation with responsibility. We are determined to safeguard our residents while continuing to build a progressive and thriving community.”
