ISLAMABAD: The federal capital witnessed heavy rainfall on Sunday afternoon, accompanied by light cool winds throughout the day, making the weather pleasant for residents.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea are currently penetrating the upper and central regions of the country.
Additionally, a westerly wave is affecting the upper areas and is likely to persist until tomorrow.
The Met Office has forecast widespread rain, wind, and thundershowers in Kashmir and northeast Punjab, with scattered showers expected in Islamabad and parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Heavy falls are also likely in Kashmir, northeast Punjab, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while hot and dry weather will prevail in most other regions.
