Pakistani YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, has had his physical remand extended by four more days amid an ongoing investigation related to the promotion of online gambling and alleged uploading of obscene content.
On August 28, a Lahore district court extended Ducky Bhai’s physical remand till September 1. He was presented before the magistrate by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), which is leading the investigation.
During the hearing, the government prosecutor requested additional remand, citing the need for further investigation.
However, Ducky Bhai’s legal counsel, Advocate Chaudhry Usman Ali, opposed the extension. Despite the objection, the magistrate accepted the agency’s request, allowing four more days of remand.
Saad ur Rehman was arrested on August 17 at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore by NCCIA officials.
A formal FIR was registered the same night, initiated by the state, accusing him of promoting gambling apps and uploading inappropriate content on his YouTube channel, which has millions of followers.
