Assembly of the latest dust suspension system has begun in Lahore to combat smog; this system will be deployed at various locations as needed.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz stated in a post on X that the world’s first tested dust suspension system, along with 15 modern anti-smog guns, has arrived in Lahore and is being assembled.
Maryam Nawaz said that the modern fog cannons use fine water mist to bring dangerous air particles PM2.5 and PM10 down to the ground, thereby purifying the air. The anti-smog guns will be connected to the air quality network and environmental protection force in Lahore.
The Chief Minister of Punjab said that the anti-smog guns will be automatically activated when pollution levels rise. This anti-smog gun system will be linked to satellite data, drones, QR-coded brick kilns, and an AI tracking system.
