A policeman was caught taking inappropriate photos of women in the bathroom of Civil Hospital, Tehsil Gujar Khan.
The suspect, identified as Aqeel Abbas from Rajgaan and affiliated with the Lahore Police Training Wing, was in plain clothes when a citizen noticed him acting suspiciously.
The man intervened, detained the officer, and handed him over to the Gujar Khan police along with his phone. Bilal Hussain, who lodged the complaint, discovered objectionable photos on the device. A case was registered under Sections 354 and 292 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and police have launched a formal investigation into the matter.
Earlier this month, police arrested two hospital employees involved in making inappropriate videos of female patients at Kahuta THQ Hospital in Punjab.
As per police, the suspects, identified as Shakil, a radiology machinist, and Zainul Abideen, a ward servant at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) Kahuta, have been involved in harassing female patients and recording illicit videos.
Shakil is also accused of blackmailing women using the footage. The arrests, made on July 9, 2025, followed a complaint that led to the filing of an FIR under the PECA Act of 2016, marking a significant breach of medical ethics and public trust.
