The United Nations Children’s Fund in a report said children abuse has augmented over the last decade an average of 45 violations per day.
According to the static of the UNICEF report, as many as 170,000 violation incidents against children, including killing, marring, sexual abuse and child employment have been confirmed since 2010.
UNICEF’s Executive Director Henrietta Fore said in the report child abuses persist unabated as concern authorities ignore one of the most basic rules of their duty to shield children rights, adding since the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989, noting that most of the countries persisting variance is the peak.
The UNICEF chief further said several incidents of violence including, armed attacks maiming children, child labor and forcing them from their homes: he said that for every act of child abuses that make headlines of news and cries of indignation, “several kinds of incidents unreported due to authorities’ negligence.”
The UNICEF in 2018 confirmed more than 24,000 severe violent incidents against youngsters, including killing, sexual abuses, kidnapping, rejection of humanitarian entrance, child labor and spoils educational institutions and health care centers.
However, monitoring and reporting work have been increased; this number is more than two-and-a-half epoch higher than that static recorded in the period 2010.
In 2019, during the first half of the year, the UNICEF confirmed over 10,000 incidents of violation against youngsters, however, real numbers are likely to be much higher in variance areas from northern Syria to eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and eastern Ukraine.
