Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Senator Hamid Khan has announced a significant development in the ongoing protests against the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
On November 30, lawyers from across Punjab will gather to launch a movement against this amendment, which they believe will undermine the judicial system.
Hamid Khan emphasized that this movement is not politically motivated but rather a lawyers’ movement fighting for justice. He also pointed out that while judges may come and go, lawyers are always at the forefront of the fight for justice.
Regarding PTI’s protests, Hamid Khan acknowledged that every party has the constitutional right to protest, but criticized the government for blocking all routes.
He believes that the government’s actions demonstrate their fear and that forcing people into submission is not the way to achieve democracy.
Additionally, Hamid Khan announced that a white paper will be issued regarding the Supreme Court Bar elections, alleging that agencies interfered with the elections and rigged the process. He promised to present all evidence related to this matter.
