NEW YORK: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori recently held a detailed discussion with Phil Ramos, Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly, on the proposal to declare Sindh and New York as twin states. The discussion took place at a reception hosted by Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, Chairman of the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee.
The proposal to declare Sindh and New York as twin states is a positive step towards enhancing relations between the two regions. It is hoped that this partnership will lead to increased economic cooperation and cultural exchange between Sindh and New York.
As per the proposal, Sindh and New York will work together to promote cultural and economic ties between the two regions. The New York State Assembly delegation is expected to visit Sindh province soon to discuss the proposal further.
Governor Kamran Tessori, who is currently on a private visit to America, made these comments while addressing a ceremony at a local restaurant in Virginia. He stated that overseas Pakistanis support their motherland in every good and bad time.
In an interview held earlier, Kamran Tessori expressed his concerns regarding the overstepping of powers by institutions in Pakistan at different times. He stressed that while such actions should be avoided, exaggerating them would further weaken the country.
