ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to conduct a nationwide survey on the health sector, for which support will be sought from the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to the details, a nationwide survey was decided on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Funding is given to different countries on the basis of JEE survey. The government’s capacity to diagnose non-communicable diseases will be reviewed.
The government will receive more than 50 crores from the World Health Organization for a nationwide survey in the name of Joint External Evaluation. Important statistics will be included in the survey report. The training of experts has been started.

In March, WHO experts will reach Pakistan for retraining. Next month, Pakistani teams will accompany WHO experts for a nationwide survey. The survey report will be submitted to the Health Department by the Ministry of National Health.
Pakistan, the fourth country to conduct the Joint External Evaluation Survey with the support of the World Health Organization, scored 46 points during the JEE survey in 2016. This will be the first nationwide survey after last year’s floods in the country.
