ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former federal information minister Fawad Chaudhary has warned that unification of different factions of MQM is a betrayal of police martyrs and Rangers. He said after 1951, the country’s establishment conducted a number of experiments and the making and breaking of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was also one of them. He further said that the leadership of MQM were puppets .
Speaking to a private TV channel last night, Fawad Chaudhary said coming into power by playing with lives of the masses was a dangerous precedent, adding that the good thing was that neither People’s Party and nor PML-N had any military wing.
Responding to a question, Fawad Chaudhry said “If the government wants to complete the term, then give us an economic plan.” He said “we want the government to sit with us and decide the electoral framework.”
Fawad Chaudhary said “we want to go towards elections. We have also convened a parliamentary party meeting on January 9 so that Pervez Elahi could finalize preparation for taking the vote of confidence and send the advice to the governor to dissolve the assembly. The numbers of our MPAs to ensure success in no-trust move in Punjab Assembly are up to the mark.”
Regarding the grievances of Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen (MWM), Fawad Chaudhry said their grievances were legitimate and Imran Khan had issued instructions to redress the same, adding that MWM would give a vote of confidence to Parvez Elahi. He further said that PMLQ’s political interest was aligned with that of PTI, and Moonis Elahi was a wise politician.
Fawad Chaudhary said that if PTI and PMLQ opt to contest elections together, it would prove to be beneficial for the PMLQ.
