ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed the case against an advisor to former premier Nawaz Sharif, Irfan Siddiqui in the Tenancy Act case.
IHC judge Justice Amir Farooq conducted the hearing, he accepted the plea of Irfan Siddiqui seeking dismissal of the case.

Meanwhile, Lawyer of Siddiqui has requested the court to issue directives for action against the administration.
Siddiqui demanded that those who built the case against him should be tried for the baseless accusations, to which justice Amir Farooq denied that he held it within his rights to file a request on the matter which will then be taken into consideration by the court.

Siddique was charged under tenancy law violations act of the penal code alleging that he had rented out his house without informing the police.
The case was registered under Section 188 at the Ramna police station.

During the previous bearing, the counsels for Siddiqui provided documentary evidence that Irfan had nothing to do with the case.
They claimed that neither Siddiqui owned the house which was rented out, nor did he sign the agreement between the owner and tenant.
