RAWALPINDI: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has announced that he will not move towards Islamabad as it will affect country, and that his party is resigning from all assemblies.

آج پاکستان کے مسائل کی سب سے بڑی وجہ قانون کی بالادستی کا نہ ہونا ہے یہاں طاقت کی حکمرانی ہے انصاف نہیں ہے۔ چیئرمین عمران خان

Addressing a gigantic public gathering here on Saturday, he said “we have decided not to remain part of this system anymore,” and announced to quit from all assemblies. To this effect, he said, party meeting would be called to have consultations and decide date for coming out of the provincial assemblies.

Earlier, Khan recalled shooting incidence that took place in Wazirabad on November 3, and said three people conspired and chalked out his assassination plan, adding that he had a near-death experience as one of his guard received 6 bullets but survived. Khan asked voters and supporters to get rid of the clutches of fear. He said fear is the element which enslaves people. “if you want to live life, shun the fear of death,” he said.

پاکستان آج فیصلہ کن موڑ پر کھڑا ہے ایک طرف عظمت کا رستہ ہے اور دوسری تباہی تباہی اور غلامی کا رستہ ہے۔ چیئرمین عمران خان

Imran Khan said those who planned to kill me were still sitting at key positions. He asked as to “why our institutions do not learn from their past mistakes.” He said I know what happened in 1971, adding that the party which won with majority votes was denied its due right after which Pakistan faced disintegration.

He revealed that there were three shooters in Wazirabad (on November 3), and that the way Liaquat Ali Khan’s killer was neutralized, a bullet was fired (from distance) to kill Naved shooter but it hit a citizen Moazzam, claiming his life.

Imran Khan said Pakistan today was at a decisive junction where at the one side, there was glory while at the other side, there was enslavement.

Narrating his past political life and struggle, Imran Khan said his opponents left no stone unturned to humiliate him during past 26 years, adding that since only Allah has the real authority to award respect and humiliation, his opponents couldn’t succeed.

Imran Khan said during his three and half years in power, he has no power to influence NAB, the accountability watchdog of the country. He said whenever NAB was asked about progress on corruption cases, I was told that the cases were ready but no permission to pursue them. He said those who had real powers didn’t consider corruption as a bad thing, and were in fact busy in dealing with the thieves.

He said those who increased their assets enormously, and violated human rights, history would not forget such people.

Praising the strength of armed forces, he said “we are proud to have the best Army in the entire Muslim world,” adding that strong military was imperative for independence and sovereignty.

Khan said he would fight till the last drop of his blood for this country.
