FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Prime Minister has castigated PLM-N led coalition government, saying the ruling alliance stalling the general elections to appoint the army chief of their own liking to save their skin in corruption cases.
Addressing a public rally in Faisalabad, the former premier said that the ruling parties have only got in power to end corruption cases against themselves.
“They want to bring their own army chief, they are afraid that if a strong army chief is appointed then he would ask them about the looted wealth,” the PTI chairman alleged.
He further said the both PLM-N and PPP wanted their favorite army chief to save their own skin.
“PPP and PML-N chiefs are sticking to the power because of the fear of accountability.” Added Khan.
Bashing the government for poor state of economy, Khan said the government has “destroyed the country within four months’ time.”
Khan added that only free and fair elections can ensure political stability in Pakistan and the government was running away from doing so because they want to “install an army chief of their choice in November.”
“Inflation is skyrocketing, while the economy has fallen to the ground,” he remarked, reiterating his stance of conspirators imposing “thieves” on the nation.
Imran Khan maintained that the ruling coalition is afraid of the immediate elections because they know they will be wiped out from political landscape.
