ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has requested the authorities concerned to grant permission to hold a rally at D-Chowk of Islamabad as the party has decided to stage a sit-in here at the end of the long march.
According to details, the PPP wrote a letter to the Commissioner of Islamabad asking for permission to hold the rally at D-Chowk as the Awami March will reach the capital on March 8, however, the sources said that the party had decided to camp there for a sit-in.
Moreover, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s Awami March reached Multan Thursday night. His anti-government procession, which began from Karachi on February 28, will reach Sahiwal from Chichawatni, Khanewal, Mian Chunnu, and then Lahore.
Earlier on Thursday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari gave Prime Minister Imran Khan a five-day deadline to resign from his post.
“Resign within five days, dissolve the National assembly and confront us. If you do not resign yourself then we will come to Islamabad and force you to do it,” Bilawal said while addressing the participants of the party’s long march in Lodhran.
The PPP Chairman said that his party will bring the no-confidence motion against the premier if doesn’t resign. “We will have the numbers required in NA for the approval of no-confidence vote in five days. All MNAs in the lower house will be with us,” he insisted.
