Why incomplete reports of HEC-& search committee for VC candidates in KU were submitted?

KARACHI: The matter of appointment of a permanent vice-chancellor in Karachi University went to court after alleged delay and forgery by the search committee, after which the court ordered the search committee to appoint a permanent vice-chancellor. Investigate the required data including academic information of the Vice-Chancellor candidates and submit the report.

After which Abdul Qadir Rajput, the then convener of the search committee, obtained incomplete information from the Higher Education Commission instead of conducting detailed investigation and by submitting incomplete information to the court by referring to them, less, vague, irrelevant magazines and non- In addition to the authoritative magazines, a misleading report was submitted to the court by including articles published after June 29, 2019.

According to the report, Dr. Pirzada Jamal’s 59 research papers out of 80, Dr. Jameel H Kazmi 34 out of 111, Dr. Kamal S Arif, 19 out of 68, Dr. Monis Ahmar 13 out of 97, Dr. Yousuf Khushk, 35 out of 51, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi 35 out of 59, Dr. Rukhsar Ahmed 15 out of 88, Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat 15 out of 40 were verified and the report was submitted.

In this report, an attempt was made to conceal the facts by not providing complete information about the research articles. He submitted the report without filing till and in order to save himself in it he wrote in the last paragraph of the report that if any information is still left then it can be investigated.

However, the court decision clearly states that the academic record of each applicant applying for the position of VC in the university should be verified. Despite this, the Search Committee and the Higher Education Commission did not present the facts, but the same process is likely to be repeated once a detailed decision is reached, in which all the papers that Khalid Iraqi has published in the journals published by VC KU as the caretaker will be subtracted.

It should be noted that the papers of Khalid Iraqi which he has published after the advertisement for the Vice-Chancellor of the university will not be counted, which is not on the list of Magazines certified by the Higher Education Commission, while Khalid Mahmoud Iraqi holds the record of writing five research papers together with the highest administrative responsibilities. He has also done a unique series of publications in history.

He was also the editor-in-chief of several of the journals in which Khalid Mahmoud al-Iraqi has published his research articles, in clear violation of the rules of the Higher Education Commission. According to the commission, he cannot publish his own articles in magazines edited by the editor. According to the rules, 1/5% of the total papers published in any of the journals published by the institute will be from the university. It will be considered illegal to have more papers from the same institute.

However, Khalid Iraqi, as Vice-Chancellor, was also the Editor-in-Chief of a magazine published by Karachi University. Due to this, he is not eligible to publish his papers in Karachi University magazines. On the contrary, he published pamphlets, but also pamphlets in various fields in which he was not an expert. For example, Khalid Iraqi’s name was included in the pamphlets of the journalism department, while He has no experience in this field. Similarly, his name was mentioned in pamphlets published in Islamic studies, international relations and other fields.

Sources have claimed that if the Higher Education Commission conducts an honest academic audit of Khalid Iraqi, he will not be able to apply for the post of the next Vice-Chancellor. According to records on Google Scholars, Khalid Iraqi has published a total of 54 research articles, including one in 1996, one in 2002, one in 2003, one in 2009, six in 2015, one in 2017, twenty-one in 2019, ten in 2020 and three in 2021.

In 1996, he published it in Volume One of Karachi University’s Y Category General of Social Sciences and Humanities, entitled Review of Ibn Khaldun’s Theory on the Rise and Fall of the State. A link to this article is not available on Jsshuok.com.

In 2002, he published in Karachi University’s Y Category General of Social Sciences and Humanities entitled Global Issues and Responsibilities of the United States, the link to which is not available on Jsshuok.com.

In 2003, Abu Zarwajidi, Mohammad Iqbal Khan and Khalid Mehmood published a plan for the transition of Pakistan’s local government system and the new structure of local government in Issue No. 1 of Volume 2 of the Iraqi General Research General Social Sciences. The link is on Google Scholar.

In 2009, he wrote a research paper in Small and Medium Enterprises in Transitiona Economies, which is not among the recognized generals of the Higher Education Commission.

In 2015, Hassan Raza, Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, Syed Shahid, Zaheer Zaidi, Ali Razane jointly wrote a research paper in the International Journal of Management Sciences, which has ISSN number on Google Scholar and is not included in HEC’s Recognized Magazine. In September 2015, Khalid Iraqi, Anam Fatima and Warda Nadeem wrote a joint article in the International Research Journal of Human Resource and Social Sciences, which is not in the HEC’s Recognized Magazine. Iraqi, Nusrat Idrees, and Muhammad Ali Nisar wrote a research paper that was published online in a magazine published by HEC.

In 2017, Ahmar Zafar, Khalid Iraqi and Sadaf Mustafa co-authored a research paper in the International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences, which is not HEC-certified.
In 2018, he wrote 9 research papers out of which 6 are included in HEC-recognized journals and 3 are not. On October 15, 2018, Mustafa Haider and Khalid Mahmoud Iraqi wrote an article on the 4th International Conference on Advanced Education and Social Sciences which is not in the General Recognition from HEC.

In 2018, Hazrat Hayat, Khan Tahir and Khalid Iraqi jointly wrote an article in the General Journal of Management Sciences which was published in an HEC approved magazine. In 2018, Mustafa Haider and Khalid Iraqi published an article in Y category, 23 December. In 2018, Khalid Iraqi published an article in the Y category, which was published in an HEC-approved magazine.

A joint article by Zaheema, Israr Mohi-ud-Din, Khalid Iraqi and Haider Iqbal was published in the International Journal of Academic Research and Business and Social Sciences 6 days later on 28th December 2018. Exclusive for Women Studies Karachi University published a joint article by Sarah Pervaiz, Khalid Mehmood Iraqi, in 2018 a joint research article by Muhammad Ali, Khalid Mehmood Iraqi, Amna Sohail, Rawat and Shoaib Mohammad published in South Asian General of Management Sciences and in 2018 Y category An article by Faheem Akhtar and Khalid Mahmood Iraqi was published in the Journal of Education and Social Sciences.

In 2019, Khalid Mahmoud Iraqi co-authored 21 research papers with other authors and surprisingly the fastest researcher has managed to publish almost two research articles each month. Out of which 9 research papers have been published in such journals of which Patron-in-Chief is himself. While 9 research articles have not been published and 2 research articles have been declared as irrelevant while 3 articles have been published on 31st December 2019 in different journals. ۔

In 2021, Khalid Mahmoud Iraqi published 3 research articles, all published after the June 29, 2019 release date for the Vice-Chancellor, one of which was published in the Higher Education Commission’s Recognized Research Journal, and 2 non-published. Published in Authoritative Magazine.
