MM News TV spoke to him about his political and social activities and achievements.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) came to power after 22 years of political struggle and in this long political effort, many eminent personalities joined the Imran Khan-led convoy.

One such name is Bilal Ghaffar, who joined Tehreek-e-Insaaf in 2010 for a ‘change’ in Pakistan. He was recently appointed as the new president of Karachi chapter as part of organisational restructuring. MM News TV spoke to him about his political and social activities and achievements.

MM News: Why did you join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and when?

Bilal Ghaffar: I joined politics in 2010, while no one in my family was interested in such affairs. I was really inspired with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of change. , I joined the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to take forward Imran Khan’s commitment to serve the people of Pakistan, which were deprived of basic rights and needs.

MM News: How do you manage time for both business and political activities?

Bilal Ghaffar: It is very difficult for you to give time to your family, business and politics simultaneously. Unfortunately, we have to give more time to politics than any other activity. Politics is a full time job, people have expectations from you, constituency politics and different issues.

We have been given the responsibility by Prime Minister Imran Khan and I think you should not betray the position you have been given. We will continue to work with complete honesty.

MM News: Your appointment as PTI Karachi president was reportedly criticized. Your views in this regard?

Bilal Ghaffar: There are always some differences in every political party. If anyone is against my appointment, then the person is disagreeing with Prime Minister Imran Khan. This is the decision of Imran Khan and I will work as long as the premier wants.

Our challenge is to come out fully prepared in the upcoming local body and general elections and for that we have to abolish the local body law which has been enforced in Sindh.

MM News: Your experience as a parliamentary leader?

Bilal Ghaffar: It was also a good experience. I delivered as much as I could. I hope our new parliamentary leader Khurram Sher Zaman will do better than me. I tried my best to bring all the parliamentarians together and fully present the party’s position in the assembly.

MM News: What are your preparations for the local body polls?

Bilal Ghaffar: Soon our candidates will be announced, at the level of district towns. In two to three weeks the campaign of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the local government law will also start. You will see PTI organization in every town and every UC.

MM News: Has PTI fulfilled its promises to the people of Karachi?

Bilal Ghaffar: The people of Karachi have high hopes with Prime Minister Imran Khan, because they know that only Imran Khan can solve Karachi’s problems. A lot of work has been done in Karachi under the transformation plan, which includes: Green line bus service, KCR project, cleaning of drains, and K4 project. Most development work has been done in Karachi.

MM News: Why PTI lose in the recent by-election in Karachi?

Bilal Ghaffar: Again, there were some differences and we will try to eliminate these. When the result does not come according to human desires, then we have to learn from it. I think we have to do teamwork where accuracy is needed, we will further strengthen Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Karachi.

MM News: What is PTI’s action plan against local government law?

Bilal Ghaffar: We will protest at every possible forum, including Sindh Assembly and court. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will not remain silent in this regard. Our movement is starting in Larkana.
