LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued detailed guidelines for spectators ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final, as authorities simultaneously enforce stringent security arrangements for the high-profile match.
According to the PCB advisory, fans must carry a valid Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) along with a physical or digital ticket to gain entry into the stadium. Spectators will be allowed to bring flags of Pakistan and PSL franchises; however, items such as AirPods, hands-free devices, power banks, bottles, cameras, and outside food have been prohibited.
The directives come as large crowds are expected to attend the PSL final, scheduled to be held on May 3 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Similarly, authorities have rolled out a comprehensive security plan, describing arrangements as “foolproof” to ensure the safety of players, officials, and spectators.
Security personnel will be deployed in and around the stadium, with strict checking at entry points. Only ticket holders with valid identification will be allowed access, while attendees will undergo thorough screening before entering the venue.
Officials have also advised spectators to arrive early to avoid congestion, as multiple security checkpoints and controlled entry routes will be in place. Parking will be restricted to designated areas, with shuttle services expected to transport fans to the stadium.

The measures reflect heightened vigilance around the PSL final, a marquee event that has historically required extensive security deployments, including large contingents of law enforcement and coordinated planning between civil and security agencies.
The PCB’s advisory and the government’s security plan together underline efforts to ensure a smooth and incident-free conclusion to the tournament, which is returning to a full-capacity crowd after earlier matches were held under restrictions.
