KARACHI — K-Electric has announced planned power outages on 1 May 2026, affecting 17 out of the city’s 2,129 feeders due to maintenance and repair work on transformers.
According to the utility company, the work will be carried out at various locations between 8:00am and 6:00pm. As a result, temporary electricity disruptions are expected in the affected areas.
Residents may face load-shedding ranging from a minimum of five hours to a maximum of 10 hours, depending on the location and nature of the maintenance work.

K-Electric said the outages are necessary to ensure the reliability and stability of the power supply system, though routine activities in affected areas may be disrupted.
