Dubai has eased its property visa rules for foreign investors, making it easier to obtain residency through real estate purchases and further strengthening its appeal as a global investment hub.
Under the new policy, the previous minimum property value requirement for a single owner has been removed, allowing more people to benefit from this facility.
Authorities said that residency visas can now also be obtained through jointly owned properties, provided each investor’s share is at least 400,000 dirhams. The move aims to boost foreign investment and further stimulate the real estate market.
It was also said that the 2-year investor visa has been made more accessible compared to before, while the conditions for other long-term visas remain unchanged.
For the 5-year retirement visa, a minimum investment of 1 million dirhams and an age requirement of 55 years are required.
Similarly, a minimum investment of 2 million dirhams is mandatory for obtaining the 10-year Golden Visa. Golden Visa holders are also allowed to sponsor their families and domestic workers, and can retain their visa even while residing outside the UAE.
According to experts, this new policy is expected to further boost Dubai’s real estate market and increase global investor interest.
