The Sindh government has declared a public holiday across the province on May 1 (Friday) to mark International Labor Day.
According to a notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, all government and semi-government offices will remain closed on the occasion. Educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, will also observe the holiday.
Labor Day, also known as May Day, is observed worldwide on May 1 each year to show solidarity with workers and to recognize the contributions and rights of the working class.
The day serves as a reminder of the need to safeguard labor rights and promote measures aimed at protecting workers and industrial employees from exploitation.
