ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has expanded the scope of its e-Sahulat franchise centres, aiming to improve public access to identity-related services and reduce congestion at its offices.
According to official details, NADRA has authorised 173 e-Sahulat centres in Lahore to offer a broader range of facilities, bringing key services closer to citizens at the neighbourhood level.
These centres, often operating through local retail outlets, will now facilitate the issuance of Child Registration Certificates (B-Forms) for children under the age of 10. In addition, services such as renewal of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and issuance of duplicate cards in case of loss have also been made available.
The expanded services further include the cancellation of identity cards of deceased individuals, a step expected to simplify administrative procedures for families.
The initiative is part of NADRA’s broader effort to decentralise its operations and enhance service delivery by enabling citizens to access essential documentation facilities within their localities, thereby easing the burden on major registration centres.
