Traffic signals in Karachi to be upgraded to int’l standards

KMC has decided to transfer traffic signals in Karachi to international standards.

Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab says that smart traffic signals will be installed on Karachi’s highways, the Municipal Commissioner will start the phase of purchasing smart signals soon.

He said that in the first phase, the Red Zone and II Chandrigar Road will be modeled, while in the second phase, work will be done on MA Jinnah Road and then on various important highways of the city.

Mayor Karachi says that implementation of traffic laws along with basic infrastructure is necessary in the city, if traffic is regulated effectively, half of the problems will be solved automatically.
