The pump price of high‑speed diesel (HSD) in Pakistan stands revised today at Rs 353.00 per litre following a Rs 32.12 per‑litre reduction announced late on April 17. The cut of Rs 32.12 per litre took effect immediately and replaced the previous retail rate of Rs 385.54 per litre that had been in force since April 11.
The updated rate is already reflected on major fuel‑price trackers, including PakWheels, and has been carried by business news outlets across the country.
It may be recalled here for context that the diesel prices have seen notable movement in recent months. On February 16, the pump price was Rs 275.70 per litre; a subsequent review amid geopolitical tensions on February 28 — the day of the US‑Iran attack flare‑up — led the government to approve a Rs 5.16 per‑litre increase effective March 1, bringing HSD to Rs 280.86 per litre.
The latest cut of Rs 32.12 per litre reverses part of the sharp rises seen in the spring, lowering the current pump price to Rs 353.00 per litre.
