In a disturbing incident in Muzaffargarh, Punjab, unidentified individuals allegedly cut the tongue of a cow using a sharp-edged weapon.
According to police, the incident took place in the Langar Sarai area, where the animal was subjected to severe cruelty.
Officials from the Livestock Department said the cow’s tongue was severed with a sharp instrument, leaving it unable to eat fodder.
The animal’s owner has lodged a complaint with police and requested action against those responsible. He also claimed that unknown individuals had previously harmed his goats.
Authorities noted that similar incidents involving cruelty to animals, including cutting tongues and breaking limbs, have been reported in different parts of the country in the past.
