The Pakistani rupee posted a slight gain against the US dollar in the interbank market on Thursday, closing at 278.95, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
A day earlier, on Wednesday, the currency had settled at 278.96 against the greenback.
In global markets, the US dollar hovered near its lowest level since early March against major currencies. The euro was recorded at $1.1808, while the British pound traded at $1.3569, with both currencies rising around 0.1% on the day and remaining close to their highest levels since February.
